I have recently completed my PhD at OvGU Magdeburg, jointly supervised by Petra Schwer and Linus Kramer. Broadly speaking, my research interests lie at the intersection of algebra and geometry. In my PhD thesis I study the CAT(0) geometry of affine buildings and symmetric spaces of non-compact type.
